Amyra Dastur will soon be seen as the face of a nail paint brand, which was earlier endorsed by Kriti Kharbanda. Not only that, the brand will introduce an entirely new collection designed and conceptualised by the young starlet. A source associated with the brand says that the Rajma Chawal actress has got a refined aesthetic, which is why they wanted someone as young and fresh as her. “The collection will showcase her fun, sparkly nature keeping the current fashion trends and chic quotient in mind. Amyra chose the colours and even discussed which shades would look better on Indian skin tones. She definitely has a fine understanding of what’s going on in fashion today, and fits the brand perfectly,” adds the source. Amyra, who was last seen in Judgementall Hai Kya, has several films lined up that include Prasthanam, Made In China and Koi Jaane Naa.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s short film Bebaak is yet to be screened in India, but it has already done the rounds of international film festivals. The film throws light on day-to-day issues faced by Indian Muslim girls who are aspirational and work hard to grow above their current circumstances. The short will now be screened at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. Says a source, “The word Bebaak means fearless, which truly matches up to the theme of soon to begin IFFM, from August 8 this year. The festival will be celebrating its 10th year with the central theme of ‘courage’. The Nawazuddin-starrer has glimpses of that courage and explores the misogyny faced by a woman.”

The film written and directed by Shazia Iqbal and presented by Anurag Kashyap had faced trouble showcasing it at a film festival in India last year. Talking about its screening at Melbourne, Shazia says, “IFFM is one of the best known Indian Film Festivals abroad and I am excited about Bebaak’s inclusion in the Documentary and Shorts program. For the last three months, Bebaak’s journey at the festivals has been satisfying as the film has got a phenomenal response, screening to packed, intrigued audiences full of questions about the issues of feminism, role of women in Religion and society as whole. I am glad the film has got opportunity to screen at so many festivals, managed to move people and even win a few awards. I am looking forward to presenting the film for IFFM audience.”

After a successful streak in Bollywood, Tulsi Kumar is all set to venture into Tollywood with her first-ever Telugu song. Tulsi’s latest track Enni Soni from Saaho composed by Guru Randhawa released in Telugu as well and she has even crooned the lines in the Tollywood version.

Talking about the same, the O Saki Saki singer says, “Enni Soni is a love song in the future pop genre and it’s definitely been an exciting and learning experience for me to be a part of this song in the Hindi version as well as the Telugu version. The song is in a completely different space and I loved rendering it for Shraddha Kapoor. Singing in Telugu has been a great experience. Learning the correct pronunciations along with the right diction was very important for me and I worked with a vocal coach through the whole recording session. I hope my fans connect with both the versions and give it all their love. Also, I’m sure, the song is going to be a visual treat for the viewers.”
