Shama Sikander, who shot to fame with 2003 television series 'Yeh Meri Life Hai', has been away from the limelight for quite some time now. She was last seen in Vikram Bhatt's erotic thriller 'Maaya' in 2016 and a short film titled 'Sexaholic'.
The once written off actor is today one of the most popular faces on Instagram, thanks to her new svelte figure and glamourous looks. Shama has undergone tremendous tranformation in the last one decade, keeping fitness at the forefront of all her life goals.
The internet sensation is particularly popular for her oh-so-hot bikini pictures. Shama is currently making news for a throwback picture which she posted on her Instagram account on Wednesday.

Shama Sikander kickstarted her filmy career with 'Prem Aggan' (1998) but she only got recognition after Aamir Khan's 1999 film 'Mann'. She appeared in a dance sequence in the film which starred Manisha Koirala in the lead. She later went on to feature in 6 movies, 10 television shows including 'Yeh Meri Life Hai', 2 web series and 2 music videos.

Shama Sikander first opened up about her struggle with bipolar disorder in March 2016 and now she is about to produce a short film series aimed to educate on mental illness. In a brave move, Shama said in an interview that she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Talking to Times of India, Shama claimed she tried committing suicide eight years ago.

Shama will be next seen in 'Ab Dil Ki Sun' - a series of seven short films focusing on dealing with mental illness. "I play myself and everyone... I am you and me and everyone living in this world. It's more like an open conversation rather I would say. The whole idea is to bring people's attention to these illnesses and the reasons behind depression," Shama told IANS.
