At an event in Kerala, Deepika Padukone opened up about #MeToo movement, socio-political issues in the country and more
On Friday morning, Deepika Padukone made the paparazzi happy by flashing her million dollar smile at the Mumbai airport. The actor was seen heading to Kochi, Kerala for an event named IAA World Congress 2019. At the airport, DP was seen wearing a white tank top, blue pants and a denim jacket. She completed her look by pairing it up with white sneakers and a pair of Lennon sunglasses.
Before heading for the event, Deepika posted a series of photos on her Instagram page. The actor rocked the power-dressing look like a boss for the event in Kochi. She wore a black silk top with a green plaid robe style coat and a pair of flared pants. She teamed it up with nude pointed pumps and dangling earrings. Deepika posed stylishly and her look made people go weak in their knees.
At the event, Deepika spoke about her depression days, Me Too movement, socio-political issues and also about her upcoming film, Chhapaak.

At the event, Deepika spoke about why she doesn't take a stand on socio-political issues happening in the country. The actor stated, "It is important to have a voice but what happens to me after that bothers me".

When asked about the Me Too movement, Deepika said at the event, "We cannot isolate the male gender in the #MeToo conversation we need them in this conversation".

On being asked about her social media posts, DP shared, "My social media posts are authentic and mean something to me. Social media is a great way for me to engage with my fans and know what's happening in the world but one must know when to cut off".

When asked about her upcoming film Chhapaak, Deepika said, "The business of cinema doesn't excite me as much as how this medium can reach out and influence people so well."
