The film very intelligently and interestingly spoofs many overused tropes in Hindi cinema like ‘two brothers separated in the Kumbh mela’ theme or the 'memory loss' excuse. The film also never refrains from making fun of itself. The famous scene when Shakti Kapoor holds the entire cast hostage and says 'Ye Teja, Teja kya hain', or 'Aankehin nikal ke gotiya khelunga' is still a hit among fans.
