In the latest episode of 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 9'; Sreesanth, Ridhima Pandit and Punit Pathak were made to perform a task involving Madagascar cockroaches and earthworms. They were tied blindfold on a bed and as the custom goes, the creepy crawlies were poured on them. The contestants were required to pick Madagascar cockroaches and put them in a box kept near their head.

After the task, Sreesanth voilently asked why nobody has come to release him. When Ridhima and other contestants tried to calm him down by saying that the cleaning team is on their way, he started shrugging off the insects from his body himself by violently kicking his legs in the air. By doing this he made other contestants uncomfortable as a few of the creepy crawlies fell on them.

Later, when he was asked to share his experience of being around creepy crawlies, he sarcastically said that he enjoyed being around nature. When the interviewer further prodded, he snapped and said, 'Don't ask such stupid questions'. He, however, covered it up later by saying that the insects were upset just like how a human would be if sent to a jungle.

Later in the same episode, Sreesanth failed to complete the electric mesh task because of his partner Ridhima's miscommunication. Rohit reprimanded the contestants for aborting tasks willy nilly. In the final eviction task, Sreesanth performed terribly, leaving everyone including Rohit disappointed. He was even heard mumbling abuses under his breath. When Rohit asked whether he intentionally underperformed, Sreesanth said he he feels other contestants deserve to stay on the show more than him.

It is to be recalled that Sreesanth was heavily criticised for quitting tasks in 'Bigg Boss 12', as well.

In previous night's episode, Avika became the first contestant to be eliminated after she lost the phone booth task to Aly Goni and Jasmin Bhasin.
