Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal's relationship taking an ugly turn has been taken by surprise by many. The couple has been together for more than 14 years and married for nearly nine years. After Karan Mehra was granted bail on an alleged domestic violence case filed by Nisha Rawal against him, the latter addressed the media in Mumbai on Tuesday.

While talking to the media as well as ETimes, Nisha Rawal said that she didn't want to spoil Karan Mehra's image he created during 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai'.
She said, "I got to know about his affair, repeated abuses... I ignored it because I wanted to keep the marriage intact and I was also worried about his image of Naitik...goody-two-shoes. I have loved him and his parents."

After getting bail, Karan Mehra had alleged that Nisha Rawal banged herself on the wall the previous night.
He told ETimes, "I am the one asking for a divorce and that, too, amicably. I told her that I can't deal with it anymore. She abused my parents and brother and I asked her to stop it. She became more agitated and hit me. She spat on me and I told her that I don’t want to be in this situation anymore. I went to wash my hands and she told me, 'Now you see what I will do'. I turned and saw her bang her head against the wall. She went out and said, 'Yeh Karan ne kiya'."
