For the uninitiated, an incarnation of Parvati called Goddess Brahmacharini is worshipped on the second day of the festival. People were orange-coloured outfits as it represents happiness, brightness and energy. Orange is indeed one of the brightest colours and it exudes radiance instantly. Several actors have worn this colour during festivals as one can shine brightly while standing among others.
