Carbohydrates are the primary source of energy. People with Type 2 diabetes also need them. But not all carbohydrates are equal. For people with diabetes, choosing complex carbs (high fibre) is essential over simple carbs (less fibre). Unprocessed and refined carbohydrates are bad for diabetics.
