Aamir-Kiran still together?

While neighbours think the couple may have split, friends spin a different tale.

After Saif Ali Khan breaking up with girlfriend Rosa, yet another Khan seems to be heading for splitsville… at least that’s the strong buzz doing the rounds. According to the grapevine, trouble is brewing between Aamir Khan and second wife Kiran Rao.

The couple, who tied the knot just last year in privately guarded ceremony in Panchgani, have refused to comment or deny these rumours, but sources say Kiran’s ambitious streak may be causing problems in the relationship. Apparently, she thought she would be directing a film for Aamir, but is unhappy that it hasn’t happened yet. 

Aamir is supposedly so busy with his other productions ‘Tare Zameen Par’ and the re-make of ‘Gajini’ that he hasn’t really had the time to look into Kiran’s ambitions. Giving impetus to these speculations is the cosy dinner the ‘Rang De Basanti’ star was caught having with his first wife Reena and their children Ira and Junaid.
However, friends insist there is nothing wrong and that Aamir and Kiran are very much in love with each other. A friend of Kiran’s on condition of anonymity said, “I have been in constant touch with Kiran. There is nothing wrong in her life. I would have sensed it otherwise, even if she hadn’t told me. I really don’t believe in these break-up stories, because their life is just the same as it was.”

But one of their neighbours says it is really difficult to understand their relationship. He says, “I saw them together this morning leaving for work after a very, very long time.” Another neighbour is more forthcoming. He says, “It’s been too long since I have really seen them together. Aamir seems to spend most of his time outside; he’s sometimes missing for several days.”

Of course, the busy actor could well be at an outdoor film shoot. However, knowing the actor’s penchant for secrecy, we’ll probably never know the whole truth…till of course the other parties involved decide to spill the beans!
