1.Be a friend to your kids

Shah Rukh Khan doesn't believe in behaving like a strict disciplinarian. He rather prefers to be friends with his children.
The actor once said in an interview, “I love my children not because they are my children, but because I have garnered a friendship with them. I am realising this… as they are getting older, they are my greatest friends. I think my mental age is between 12 to 14, so it is nice to have two friends that I can ever have.”
Earlier, Aryan who is studying abroad, couldn't be home for his father's 51st birthday.
So instead he took to instagram to tell the world how much he loves his father and wrote, "He can play like kid, give advice like a friend and protect like a bodyguard. Happy Birthday to you. We Love You BossMan.”
2.Protection and protective

Even though it is important to let children fight their own battles, it is sometimes necessary to care about them too.
SRK was widely criticised for misbehaving with the guards in Mumbai's Wankhede stadium, but the actor is unapologetic about it.
“I took little children for the match and 40 grown-up people came charging aggressively at me. I think my behaviour is absolutely correct. I would still do the same thing if they misbehaved with my kids or kids that I am taking care of,” he had said.
SRK also does not want his children to be in the media glare and it is for this reason, he sent his son, Aryan and daughter Suhana to study abroad.
“That is what I do… Public life… The good, bad, ugly, goodness of media, the strangeness… I am part of it, not my children," he had once said
3.Freedom to choose

Nowadays, inter-faith or inter-caste marriages are pretty common. But, the problem arises when a child is born. Which religion should he or she follow? Shah Rukh Khan has a unique solution for such parents.
He had said, “I don't teach my children what is Hindu and what is Muslim.”
He keeps idols of Hindu Gods right next to his Quran. He believes that children should know about God and nothing else. Shah Rukh has named his youngest son AbRam.
Explaining the same he said, “His name is based on a variation of Prophet Abraham. And, I liked the connotation that it is kind of a secular name (with the word ‘Ram’ in it).”
Not just in matters of religion. Shah Rukh Khan gives his children the freedom to do and choose whatever they like and find happiness in

4.Time is all they need

When parents feel guilty about the fact that they do not spend enough time with their children, they shower them with gifts to make up for the lack of time.
However, SRK ensures that he makes time for the small pleasures of life. He once stepped out on the streets to take Suhana for her first bike ride. It was an emotional moment for him and he tweeted, "One of those days when I go through the emotions. Cycling with Suhana was the highlight.. need to do it more."
He even attends taekwondo tournaments, whenever Suhana and Aryan participate in them. He gives them pep talks before their bouts and cheers the loudest when they win. He drives to the airport to fetch Aryan every time he comes to visit his parents from London. And the list goes on and on!
