With Amazon Prime’s crime thriller Mirzapur season 1 being a massive hit among viewers, fans can’t seem to wait for the OTT platform to drop season 2 of web series and watch what will happen next.
Set in Mirzapur, the hinterland of North India, season 1 of the crime drama hooked the audiences with a strong script, well-etched characters, powerful dialogues and took them into a dark, complex world of guns, drugs and lawlessness. Season 1 revolved around criminal mastermind Kaleen bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi) and how his establishment and heir - apparent Munna, is threatened with the arrival of two brothers, Guddu and Bablu (Ali Fazal and Vikrant Massey) into the picture.
With the much-anticipated season 2 of Mirzapur slated for release on October 23, 2020, here are a few reasons why fans can’t wait to stream it:
1. Kaleen Bhaiya's cliffhanger

Ali Fazal aka Guddu is all set to return for vengeance.
A video announcement by Amazon Prime featured a voiceover by Ali Fazal aka Guddu bhaiya, who describes two kinds of people - dead and alive. He adds a third category - missing. “Hum se sab chheen liye aur hume zinda chhod diye. Galti kiye (You took everything away from me and left me alive. You committed a big mistake),” he warns.
Season 1 ended on a cliffhanger leaving audiences craving for more.
2. Where will Beena's character incline towards after the traumatic incident in the finale?

Wife of Kaleen Bhaiya, Beena (Rasika Dugal) went through a traumatic ending in the last season where she betrayed her partner by cheating with Bauji. To keep her secret, Beena punishes a man to death. Fans can’t wait to see how her role will develop in the new season!
3. Rajesh Tailang and Sheeba Chaddha are back

Veteran actors Rajesh Tailang and Sheeba Chaddha, parents of Guddu and Bablu were against violence in the first season. After the tragedies they suffered in season 1– they lost their son Bablu, daughter, daughter-in-law and grandson because of Munna — it will be interesting to see if they join hands with Guddu in taking revenge from Kaleen Bhaiya and his family.
4. Munna Bhaiya is powerful but lonely because he had to kill his own friend, the compounder

To prove himself worthy of it all and a good son, Munna Bhaiya killed his best friend to compete with Guddu and Bablu and to prove them wrong.
He is now the most powerful man but with his best friend gone, he is also lonely. Fans would want to see how this will change Munna over the course of time.
