No road, pregnant woman transported on makeshift basket in Chhattisgarh village

Health care workers on July 07 carried a pregnant woman on a makeshift basket, to take her to hospital for delivery in Kondagaon's Mohanbeda village. Ambulance could not reach her village due to unavailability of road, so they carried her to hospital in the basket. TR Kanwar, Chief Medical Health Officer (CMHO), Kondagaon said that 'They had called up 102 Ambulance but it could not reach there. It is a remote area. Vehicles can't reach there due to unavailability of road. Delivery was done at district hospital. The mother and the child are safe.'
