Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday termed the Congress party manifesto for the Lok Sabha polls as the "planning document of Pakistan's conspiracy."

Prime Minister Modi, who was addressing an election rally in Gondia, said: "The Congress party released its manifesto on Tuesday. That document is nothing but evidence of how they plan to play with the national security. Their manifesto is the planning document of Pakistan's conspiracy. That document will break the morale of our army personnel."

Accusing the Congress of confusing the country, Prime Minister Modi said: "Do you remember surgical strike? The way in which we went to terrorists' house to kill them? Some people sitting in AC rooms in Delhi are saying that the country is forgetting what happened in Balakot."

"For us, it is always country first and the party next. However, it is true the country has functioned in the opposite direction for decades wherein terrorists were saved."

Sharpening his attack on Rahul Gandhi led party, Prime Minister Modi said: "It is the Congress party's tendency to either conquer everything or confuse everyone. Today they are confusing the nation as they know that Modi is working for the people's benefit, as a result, they are unable to get their cut."

The Prime Minister claimed that Maoism will soon come to an end if the 'Mahamilaavat' does not come to power.

"The days of Maoists can be counted now. But if the 'Mahamilavat' gets a small chance, Maoists and Naxals will get a chance. Their movements will get a pace. The Congress in its manifesto has also announced that those who speak against the country will not be charged with sedition as they plan to remove the sedition law itself," he added.

Hitting out at the NCP chief Sharad Pawar, who is an ally of the Congress party in the state, he said: "I would like to ask Sharad Pawar, who has been the Defence Minister of the country if he is satisfied with the Congress manifesto? Is he okay with a manifesto which weakens the morale of our forces?"

Attacking the opposition further, Prime Minister Modi claimed that they are concerned more about his name, caste, family, etc but are not concerned about his work.

Accusing the opposition of calling him names, he said: "A Congress leader called me a 'Chowkidar' of toilets. One person from Sharad Pawar's party called me uncouth. Some person who is a part of the 'Mahamilavat' said that Modi does not know how to govern a country. When I was given 'Chowkidari' of this nation, the intention behind it was clear."

Urging the people to vote for the BJP in the General Elections, Prime Minister Modi said: "By 2022, when the country celebrates 75 years of independence, I have to fulfill two dreams -- the first one is to double the income of our farmers, and the second is to ensure that each family in India has a concrete house."

Maharashtra will go to polls in the first four phases, beginning April from 11. The counting of votes will take place on May 23.

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis mocked the Opposition saying that they had run away even before the fight had begun.

He said that Praful Patel wasn't contesting while while Nanapatole was trying to save his deposit in Nagpur (where he's contesting against Nitin Gadkari).

He said that NCP's candidate told Sunil Medhe: "Praful ke paas gaadi hai bangla hai tere pass kya hai, Sunil ne bola mere pass Modi hai."

BJP has picked Sunil Medhe, who is a president of Bhandara Nagar Parishad and an upcoming leader.

The Bhandara-Gondiya Lok Sabha constituency was formed in 2008 and covers six assembly segments - Tumsar, Bhandara, Sakoli, Arjuni Morgaon, Tirora and Gondia.

One of the 48 Lok Sabha constituencies in Maharashtra, it will cast its vote in the 2019 election on April 11 and the result will be out on May 23, 2019.

In 2014, BJP’s Nanabhau Patole won by a huge margin of 1.50 lakh votes. However, Patole became a vehement Modi critic and is now contesting against Nitin Gadkari on his home turf of Nagpur. The seat has gone to the NCP

Patole had beaten NCP bigwig and AIFF president Praful Patel in 2014. Patel had beaten Patole in 2009. Praful Patel is now in Rajya Sabha and the NCP has picked Nana Panchbudhe. On the other hand, the BJP is betting on Sunil Medhe.

Sunil Medhe who went from BJP worker to president of Bhandara Nagar Parishad in 2016 to Lok Sabha candidate. Mendhe had focussed on electricity, water roads in the area during his tenure at the Nagar Parishad but even then, his candidature took voters by surprise. BJP and Sena workers both expressed dismay at the choice wondering whether Medhe could handle bigger playing field.

Congress is promising things that will help terrorists in Pakistan.

When I say Congress, I mean Trinamool congress as well.

As long as Modi is there, Congress' conspiracy won't win.

Remember when all the Opposition leaders came together here to say Modi hatao.
Why remove Modi, what crime has Modi committed?

Is it a crime to give homes to the poor?

If it's a crime to give poor toilets, houses, electricity, healthcare, then I have committed all those times.

The situation in Bengal is like Tripura. Today Tripura is moving towards development.

BJP president Amit Shah Tuesday dubbed the Congress's election manifesto a "pack of lies" and said it was an insult to the country's people and its brave soldiers.
In a statement, he hit out at the opposition party over its promise to repeal Section 124A (sedition law) and review the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act, saying it is bringing a smile to terrorists and separatists while lowering the morale of the armed forces.

Repealing the sedition law will lead to chanting of slogans like "Bharat tere tukde honge" (India will break into pieces) by anti-national gangs instead of "Bharat mata ki jai" (Hail Mother India), he claimed.

"Removing AFSPA will snath armed forces' weapon to attack terrorists," Shah added.

Shah said the party was misleading people in the name of its NYAY scheme or the Minimum Income Support Programme (MISP).
