There are certain films that entertain you, right from the start to finish. The Yogesh-Aindrita Ray-Prakash Raj starrer Dhool is one such film. Although it is a known fact that the film is a remake of Thiruvilayadil Arambam, the film does justice to the original plot and everyone, right from the cast to the technicians, ensure that they don’t let you down.

One usually dismisses the Yogesh films, especially the ones which are Dhanush remakes, even if they’ve been well made. It happened with Punda, which was the remake of Polladhavan, there was Ravana and now there’s Dhool. This one seems to be one of the best of the lot, with great team work.

Right from the first scene, this film is a total entertainer. One only would pray that he gets the kind of crowd he once got from films like Nanda Loves Nanditha and Ambaari.

The story is about Guru, a boy from a lower middle class family with big dreams. And he definitely doesn’t want to fall prey to a mundane existence either. His parents and brother though want him to work in a 9-to-5 job and follow his father’s footsteps.

Guru on the other hand is adamant to try his hand at the real estate business. Lady Luck shines on him in the form of his love, Priya. Guru falls in love with her, only to encounter a big obstacle, her brother, a business tycoon and a ruffian, Nanda. A cat and mouse game between Guru and Nanda ensues, adding quite a few fun elements to the film.

Of the cast, Yogesh and Prakash Raj do a good job playing the two warring factions. Aindrita Ray shines yet again in a role that she owns. She sizzles through the songs, making them a complete treat to watch.

The other person who needs to be commended is cinematographer Dattu for some really splendid work in the songs. V Harikrishna has scored some good numbers, especially 'Amma Loosa'. The Dr Rajkumar hit Nanna Neenu Gellalaare, which is recreated featuring Yogesh and Prakash Raj, is quite good too. This makes for a perfect weekend watch.
