LONDON: Bollywood baddies were out at an exclusive party in London to launch the Maharajah Club — the first online gaming site that caters to the South Asian market.

Gulshan Grover, who is playing the villain in the next Bond film, appropriately called ‘Casino Royale’ partied late into the night with the over 200 special invitees at the plush Russell Square hotel in the heart of London.

Live classical music and dances to Bollywood favourites entertained the guests as champagne flowed. Grover, one of the brand ambassadors for the Maharajah Club, applauded the company for facilitating “responsible gambling”.

The 50-year-old actor dressed in a black gala bandh and dark glasses called poker an “intelligent game, maybe even a sport of intelligence”.

Grover was joined by another Bollywood baddie Rahul Dev who picked out the prize draw raffle ticket that won a trip for two to Goa to attend the Asian Poker Classic — the first ever poker tournament to be hosted by the Maharajah Club.

The poker tournament to be held in spring 2007 and will bring together professional poker players and Bollywood stars.
Sachin Pawa, the CEO of the Maharajah Club said there was a brand new audience for online gaming and his company was very proud to be the only company dedicated to serving the South East Asian market.
