After Chinese brand Vivo part ways for the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is on the hunt for a new title sponsor for the cash-rich tournament.
Now, according to the latest development, they might have just found one in Baba Ramdev's Patanjali, who have reportedly expressed their interest to become the title sponsors for IPL 2020.
On Monday (August 10), PTI reported that Patanjali may send an official proposal in that regard to the Indian cricket board.
"We are considering the IPL title sponsorship for this year since we want to give the Patanjali brand a global marketing platform," Patanjali spokesperson SK Tijarawala was quoted as saying.
Since this news broke out, fans have been questioning the IPL body on various things that could change with the inclusion of Patanjali with the IPL.
1. 'Players Getting ready for #PatanjaliIPL'
2. 'What about Bindo IPL?'
3. 'Situation of IPL sponsorship right now'
4. 'Can't wait for english commentators pronouncing the title sponsors'
5. 'Baba Ramdev to #vivo be like'
6. 'A new IPL logo?'
