Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas offer first glimpses of their extravagant sangeet ceremony
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, who got married in a Christian ceremony on December 1, had their Sangeet at the luxurious Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur on November 30. The couple treated their fans with some inside pictures and a video on Sunday, which have glimses of Priyanka, Nick, Sophie Turner, Joe Jonas, Madhu Chopra, Parineeti Chopra and Isha Ambani's performances.
Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma's 2010 film 'Band Baaja Baaraat' had given us all some major destination-wedding goals. The last wedding that Bittoo (Ranveer) and Shruti (Anushka) organised took place at a royal Rajasthan palace. The sequence had the lead couple dancing on a grand stage for the bride and groom. It was through this song that India ki Aam Janta got a taste of how the rich and famous wed in India. Priyanka's Sangeet pictures instantly took us back to, 'Dum Dum'.
Sharing pictures from her Sangeet night, Priyanka wrote, “It all began as a fierce song & dance competition between the families but ended, as always. as a huge celebration of love. Nick and I were looking forward to the Sangeet (musical evening). another pre wedding ritual.. and to see what each side had put together.
And what a performance it was. Each family telling our stories through song and dance, filled with lots of laughter and love. We were both filled with gratitude for the effort, the love and the laughter and will carry the memories of this special evening for the rest of our lives. It is an amazing start to a lifetime of togetherness for our families and friends.. #grateful."

Apart from the bride and the groom; the four-hour-long sangeet ceremony had Priyanka’s cousin Parineeti Chopra, mother Madhu Chopra, daughter-in-law Sophie Turner and other Indian and international stars performing on some Bollywood, Punjabi and Rajasthani numbers. A source shared to E!, "Everybody had so much fun at the Sangeet."

“The theme was black, gold and silver, so everyone turned up in their shiniest best. The functions kicked off with a group of Rajasthani dancers performing their traditional dance form for the guests. Post that, Nickyanka walked in together and were seated on a pedestal, like a king and queen. Along with Priyanka, Nick’s mother Denise Miller-Jonas, to-be sister-in-law Sophie Turner and the ladies from his immediate family, sported saris. Nick donned a bandhgala and the men from his side also opted for Indian wear,” a source told DNA After Hrs.

Described by Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas' sangeet celebrations looked straight out of a fairy tale. "Millions of fairy lights and mirror installations lit up the Umaid Bhawan grounds to create an enchanted wonderland. It was as if the sky and earth danced as one to celebrate this union," they wrote on their official page.
The insider said that, "Nick and Priyanka were laughing and had a great time watching all the performances."
