Madhuri Dixit-Nene has often stated that she owes her career to Saroj Khan
Actor Madhuri Dixit-Nene had often credited ace chorepgrapher Saroj Khan for her dance numbers. Saroj Khan, who has passed away at 71 following a cardiac arrest, was the mind behind some of Madhuri's most successful works like 'Dhak Dhak' and 'Chane Ke Khet Mein'.
Take a look:
1. 'Chane Ke Khet Mein'
Saroj Khan and Madhuri Dixit were often seen grooving to 'Chane Ke Khet Mein'.
2. 'Dola Re Dola'
Remember Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit's face-off in 'Devdas' song 'Dola Re Dola'? Saroj Khan had choregraphed that number!
3. 'Ek Do Teen'
When thinking about 'Ek Do Teen', one can always remember Madhuri Dixit, and guess who else? Saroj Khan!
4. 'Dhak Dhak'
'Dhak Dhak' stayed with Madhuri Dixit so much that she became known as the 'Dhak Dhak' girl. Saroj Khan also won an award for best choreographer for the song from 'Beta'.
5. 'Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai'
The song every child grew up listening to at one point in time - 'Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai' was Madhuri Dixit's magic on-screen because of Saroj Khan's efforts off-screen.
6. Bonus: 'Tamma Tamma'
Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt's iconic 'Thanedaar' song 'Tamma Tamma' was also choreographed by Saroj Khan.
PS: The last song that Saroj Khan choreographed was also with Madhuri Dixit. The song was 'Tabah Ho Gaye' from the 2019 release 'Kalank'.
