Dubai has just made a World record for having the largest fountain across all Continents. Located at The Pointe in Dubai's waterfront Palm Jumeirah area, the Palm Fountain was unveiled in a launch that was live-streamed across the World. Multi-coloured lights and jets of high rising water brightened UAE's night sky on Thursday. Soon after it secured the Guinness World Record for the World's largest fountain.
The fountain spans over 14,000 square feet of seawater and it features 128 super shooters reaching up to 105 metres in height adorned with over 3,000 LED lights. The Palm Fountain takes the Guinness World Record holder crown for the world's largest fountain from the Banpo Moonlight Rainbow Fountain in South Korea, which measures 2,519 square metres in size.
Dubai's only multicoloured fountain, designed with colour and brightness controls, will be open to the public all year round. It will show three-minute dancing water displays set to music, running every 30 minutes.
The Palm Fountain will have 20 bespoke shows with five different shows running daily between sunset and midnight while swaying to an array of popular songs including Khaleeji, pop, classic, international and more.
