The Breast Cancer Awareness Month, observed in October is an international campaign to raise awareness about the disease and raise funds for research on the medicines, for the treatment of those affected by breast cancer.

The Breast Cancer Awareness Month, observed in October is an international campaign to raise awareness about the disease and raise funds for research on the medicines, for the treatment of those affected by breast cancer.

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation founded by Evelyn Lauder, the Vice President of the Estee Lauder Companies, first made popular the 'pink ribbon' which became a symbol for the disease.

Every year, different monuments and buildings around the would light up in the pink hue, in support of those afflicted by this disease.

Here are some of those monuments, that lit up this year.
