Amitabh Bachchan to Shraddha Kapoor: Celebrities offer condolences for lives lost in Surat fire tragedy

Amitabh Bachchan, Shraddha Kapoor, Urmila Matondkar and others were deeply saddened to hear about the news of Surat fire tragedy

In an unfortunate incident, a coaching centre in Surat caught fire a day back. The fire was so wild that students either died of suffocation or jumped off the building. According to reports, the casualties of students was approximately 20, excluding the other students who are injured due to fall.

The horrifying videos of Surat fire tragedy made it to the internet and has shocked many people. The said coaching centre was located on the third-fourth floor of the complex. Furthermore, Ahmedabad Police has closed all centres and schools/colleges which admit students till further notice post this incident.

Various celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Shraddha Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, R Madhavan and others offered their condolences to the students soon after. Urmila Matondkar and Babul Supriyo, who ran for the elections this year, also offered their heartfelt condolences.
