After Rihanna and Greta Thunberg, Lebanese-American media personality, and former pornographic actress, Mia Khalifa has also tweeted regarding the ongoing farmers' protest in New Delhi.

Taking to her verified Twitter account, Mia's tweet read, "What in the human rights violations is going on?! They cut the internet around New Delhi?! #FarmersProtest."

For the uninformed, international pop icon Rihanna on Tuesday took to her Twitter handle to react to the news of farmers protesting on the outskirts of Delhi against the Central government's agricultural laws. Rihanna had tweeted about the farmers' protest, asking, "Why aren't we talking about this?" while quote-tweeting a news report about the internet shutdown at the protest sites.

Hours after Rihanna's tweet, Swedish climate activist and Nobel peace prize nominee Greta Thunberg also extended her support to the ongoing unrest of farmers, saying she stands in support of them. Greta tweeted, "We stand in solidarity with the #FarmersProtest in India."

In addition to this, author and niece of US Vice President Kamala Harris, Meena also backed the farmers' protest and tweeted, "It's no coincidence that the world's oldest democracy was attacked not even a month ago, and as we speak, the most populous democracy is under assault. This is related. We ALL should be outraged by India's internet shutdowns and paramilitary violence against farmer protesters."

For the unversed, hundreds of farmers from Punjab, Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh, and other parts of the country have been protesting on the different borders of Delhi since November 26, 2020, against the three newly enacted farm laws: Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020; the Farmers Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and farm Services Act 2020 and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
