1. Disagree with Subramanian Swamy on Raghuram Rajan, Arvind Subramanian: Arun Jaitley

2. Renowned Qawwal Amjad Sabri shot dead by unidentified men in Pakistan
Renowned Qawwal Amjad Sabri was shot dead by unidentified motorcycle-borne gunmen on Wednesday in Pakistan's port city of Karachi. Sabri, 45, and an associate were travelling in a car in Karachi's Liquatabad 10 area when unidentified gunmen fired at their vehicle, critically injuring them. The two were rushed to Abbasi Shaheed hospital, where Sabri succumbed to his injuries. Read more here.
3. Modi govt approves new textile policy; seeks to aid in employment and manufacturing
Cabinet on Wednesday approved textile policy which will provide incentives the sector and aid in job creation, manufacturing and exports. Government announced that the policy will strengthen employment in the country. Read more here.
4. NSG membership: PM Narendra Modi to attend SCO summit in Tashkent tomorrow
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Tashkent on Thursday to attend the annual summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), a China-dominated six-nation grouping, which is likely to focus on exploring ways to enhance security cooperation to combat terrorism. Read more here.
5. Anju Bobby George resigns from post of Kerala Sports Council President, alleging 'insult' by Sports Minister
Anju Bobby Goerge, India's lone World Championship medalist, resigned as the Kerala Sports Council President on Wednesday after alleging that Kerala Sports Minister EP Jayarajan insulted her. Read more here.
