Dinesh Karthik, who was part of England's broadcaster Sky Sports' commentary team during the India-England limited-over series in March this year, will be making his commentary debut in the World Test Championship (WTC) final between India and New Zealand starting June 18 at Southampton.

Apart from Karthik, Sunil Gavaskar will be the other commentator from India at the ICC event. Both Gavaskar and Karthik landed in England on Friday and will be undergoing quarantine before they go out.

Gavaskar, who is a senior pro as far as commentary is concerned, wished Karthik his best for the wicket-keeper batsman's firsts official commentary stint.

Gavaskar posted a picture of both of them and captioned it saying, "He made his India Test debut when I was a consultant to the Indian cricket team. Now he will make his commentary debut with the WTC finals. I'm sure he will do well in the box too. Good luck @dk00019 !"

The Indian team landed in London on June 3 and straightaway arrived in Southampton where they are currently quarantined for three-days strict quarantine.
