Indian skipper Virat Kohli has become the first cricketer in the world to have 100 million followers on Instagram. The star player, who is one of the most popular sportspersons and celebrities around the world has a massive fan following on social media. While his Twitter followers are closing in on 41 million, he breached the three-figure mark in millions on Instagram on Monday evening.

Not just for his style and his playing style, but also for his conduct on the field, Kohli is one of the most widely watched and adored cricketers in the world. While he became the first person from the game of cricket to achieve this incredible feat, he is not the first person.

The WWE champion, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, has 220 million followers on the same platform. While the trio of football players Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr too belong to the list as Ronaldo has 266 million followers while Messi has 187 million and the Neymar is just behind them with 147 million followers.
