Akhil Mishra who is best known for his role as librarian Dubey in 3 Idiots passes away at 58.
Akhil Mishra best known for his roles in Bollywood movies like 3 Idiots, Don, and more passed away at 58 on September 21. The actor was reportedly working in the kitchen when he slipped on the floor. His wife and actress Suzanne Bernert also mourned his sudden demise.
According to a report in Etimes, a source told the portal that Akhil Mishra’s wife Suzanne Bernet was out for a shoot in Hyderabad when she learned about the demise of her husband. Reportedly, the actor, 58, was working in his kitchen and slipped. His wife rushed back home as soon as she heard the news and has been in shock since then.
The actor’s body has been reportedly sent for postmortem and his wife Suzanne is doing all the preparations for the cremation. Suzanna shared, ‘My heart is broken, my second half is gone’.
Akhil Mishra has been a part of several Television shows like Bhanwar, Uttaran (Umed Singh Bundela), Udaan, CID, Shrimaan Shrimati, Bharat Ek Koj, Rajani, and many others. He made a mark with his performance as Umed Singh Bundela in the Television show Uttaran.
He has also starred in several Bollywood films like Don, Well Don Abba, Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, and more, but got recognition through his cameo role in Rajkumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots. The actor played the role of Librarian Dubey in the film which also starred Aamir Khan, R Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, and Kareena Kapoor Khan among others in key roles.
Akhil Mishra married German actress Suzanne Bernet in 2009 and has worked with her in Kram and the television show Mera Dil Deewana. They also worked together in the movie titled Majnu Ki Juliet which was written and directed by the actor himself. His wife Suzanne has been a part of several TV shows namely Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Savdhaan India, Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, and Porus.
