The meme factory has been rolling out witty creatives non-stop since ace footballer Cristiano Ronaldo snubbed Coke and sparked the “Bottlegate scandal”.

In the aftermath of the incident, Coca Cola lost more than $4 billion in stock prices. That fuelled further frenzy on social media.

Amul and Fevicol are masters of timing and wit in the ad industry. Not letting the golden opportunity pass by, they have come up with brilliant creatives with their own takes on the incident.

Quirk marketing

Pidilite’s adhesive brand Fevicol came up with one of its typical ads boasting about itself stickiness. The adhesive bottles stood firm on the press conference table. The ad said, “na bottle hategi, na valuation ghategi” which translates to neither will the bottles be moved nor will the valuation fall.

Netizens were full of appreciation for the meme art:

Amul, the dairy giant, known for its iconic cartoons in newspapers, published a cartoon soon after. The Amul girl held a bottle of its flavoured milk which is Amul Kool and the company’s butter bar in the other with the presser backdrop. Across the creative ran the line, “Not bottling one's feeling, never pushed aside.”
