'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah': Sunayana Fozdar aka Anjalee Mehta poses with onscreen husband Shailesh Lodha

Sunayana Fozdar has replaced Neha Mehta as Anjalee Mehta in the hit show, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The actor has finally started shooting for the show and posted a couple of photos posing with Shailesh Lodha, who plays her on-screen husband, Taarak Mehta. In the photos, which seem to be taken during Ganesh Chaturthi sequence on the show both are seen in traditional attire. Sunayana wore a hot pink sharara while Shailesh was seen in a turquoise kurta and white pyjamas.

She captioned her post stating, "All an artist lives for is to entertain its audience. Please Welcome Me welcome Anjali in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Mon-Fri 8:30 pm. Need your wishes and support because like always you all are my strength. Ganpati Bappa Morya. #taarakmehtakaooltahchashmah @taarakmehtakaooltahchashamh @sabtv."

Earlier in a statement, Sunayana shared her excitement on being a paper of TMKOC. She said, "It is an honour to be part of a TV serial that is loved so much not only in India but also globally. I am thankful to Neela Film Productions, especially Asit Ji for having faith in me to play the role of Anjalee Mehta. The character of Taarak Mehta’s wife is integral to the show as is every other character."

The actor added, "It was a challenge to fit into the character which has been so successful and popular for over 12 years, but the team has been extremely supportive. I will strive to maintain the character’s essence, as much a loving wife as she is conscious about health and dishing out healthy diets for Taarak."
