'Does he want fame or what?': Kamya Punjabi slams Vikas Gupta for his claims of dating late Pratyusha Banerjee

A few days back, Vikas Gupta claimed that he dated Pratyusha Banerjee and she was among his partners who knew about his bisexuality. His statement created a huge uproar as the 'Balika Vadhu' actor is no more. She died by suicide in 2016, and now, her best friend and actor Kamya Panjabi also slammed Vikas for his statements on Pratyusha. 

The 'Shakti' actor told ETimes, "'Why talk about past with her now? Pratyusha isn’t there to tell the world whether it's true or incorrect. She isn't there to verify these claims. Why is Vikas talking about his past with her now? Does he want fame or what? I don't appreciate it at all."

Kamya added, "She isn’t with us anymore. It was her personal life and no one has the right to speak about it now. Vikas is not a kid. He might have his own reasons for this but the one who is not with us anymore should not be dragged now in any way."

The actor also said, "Vikas isn't a child. He may have his reasons but why drag someone who isn't with us). He didn’t disclose the name of the girl, who he has claimed to have dated other than Pratyusha. Is it because she is alive to defend herself? Yeh saari cheezein nahi honi chahiye (All these things shouldn't happen). We fought for her... It is a sensitive matter, so let’s be careful about what we speak."

Earlier, Pratyusha's ex-boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh also denied Vikas' claims of dating her. He told the daily, "Pratyusha never dated Vikas, so the question of them parting ways doesn’t arise. In fact, they weren’t even on talking terms after a point. He shouldn’t cook up stories for publicity. Pratyusha would have slapped him had she been alive."
