'I do not want to be a porn star': Paras Chhabra on being offered 'over bold' shows

‘Bigg Boss 13’ fame Paras Sharma has recently opened up about the type of projects he was offered. Stating that the shows required for him to go ‘intimate’, Paras said that he has his own boundaries. Eager to work on an OTT platform, the actor has previously won reality show, ‘Splitvilla 5’. 

While speaking to ETimes, Paras said that he feels bold scenes are only used to create a buzz and he wants to become an actor, not a porn star. "Boundaries might not be there on any platform but I have my own boundaries. I have been offered projects recently which required me to go intimate and over bold. But I feel that rarely are they required in a show. There is mostly no connection of bold scenes with the storyline and they are there to create a buzz,” he said.

Paras added, “Even in going bold, makers today are showing almost everything of an actor and actress. I do not want to be a porn star, I want to be an actor.”

Speaking about his work front, he said, “I have done a few shows on TV, apart from reality shows, but now I want to do performance oriented projects, which I do not think is possible on the medium currently. What my understanding says is that people are more into the OTT platform now, so I am more keen to do shows on the web, for which I am already in talks with a few makers.” 

Paras has worked on shows like ‘Badho Bahu’, ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’ and ‘Karn Sagini’. Most recently he was seen in ‘Bigg Boss 14’ for a week where he had come to support Devoleena Bhttacharjee.

Paras has also featured in several music videos including, Ring, Hashtag Love Soniyea and Rang Lageya with his rumoured beau and ‘BB 13’ co-contestant Mahira Sharma.
