The wait is now over. 'Mirzapur 2' is slated to release in the next two months, on October 23, 2020. The date announcement video, which is out, hears 'Guddu Bhaiya' Ali Fazal talk coming back to take revenge.

'Hamaari poori family ko maar diye, humko zinda chodh diye, galti kiye,' he is heard saying in the video. It is thus clear that 'Guddu bhaiya' will be back in the haveli to take his revenge from 'Munna Bhaiya' Divyendu Sharma, who destroyed his life within minutes.

Spoiler alert: 'Munna Tripathi' had killed Ali Fazal's family members - 'Sweety', who was pregnant with their child, and his brother 'Bablu Pandit', played by Shriya Pilgaonkar and Vikrant Massey respectively. Guddu and Bablu were one soul while running Mirzapur on 'Kaleen Bhaiya's behalf, but what will happen when the brain is taken away from the bulk, will be revealed with season 2 release.

Fans had been waiting for 'Mirzapur 2' since a long time. 'When will Mirzapur 2 release?' became the most asked question on the OTT platform Amazon Prime, after which they tweeted, "Jo gaya hai, vo aayega bhi. Bas marzi @TripathiiPankaj ki hogi." Pankaj confirmed 'Mirzapur 2' through his reply on the tweet.

The makers also released a video of 'Mirzapur' fans. The clip saw their comments, some fans showing heart sign, and watching the screening of the show with a group of people. It also showed moments from 'Mirzapur' promotions in colleges, with 'Munna Bhaiyya' Divyendu Sharma, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Harshita Gaur.

The one minute clip ended with 'Guddu Bhaiyya' Ali Fazal entering Kaleen Bhaiyya's haveli, which is also part of the announcement video.

Set in Mirzapur, the hinterland of North India, season 1 of the crime drama had taken the audiences into a dark, complex world of guns, drugs and lawlessness. Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyenndu, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Rasika Dugal, Harshita Shekhar Gaur, Amit Sial, Anjum Sharma, Sheeba Chaddha, Manu Rishi Chadha and Rajesh Tailang return to the action-packed series. The sequel of the show will also feature Vijay Varma, Priyanshu Painyuli and Isha Talwar.
