Facebook-owned instant messaging platform WhatsApp is looking to bring in some of the design changes to Android app. According to WhatsApp track WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has rolled out certain design changes to the beta version of the Android app and those changes are reflected on the chat list of the app.

The report further states that WhatsApp has removed line separators in between chat cells on its chat list. This is the first page on your app which shows your latest chats with contacts and groups.

WABetaInfo in its report said that this is not a design overhaul of the WhatsApp app and the website is calling it a small UI change for the popular messaging platform, as the only change is removing separator lines on the messaging app.

WhatsApp is rolling out this change for more beta users and will be available for other users who are using WhatsApp web releases or stable version from Google Play Store, it added. The WABetaInfo report says that the feature has already been enabled in the Android beta and is expected to roll out to end users soon.

Recently, it was reported that WhatsApp is working on a 'Flash Call' feature that will verify user log-in on WhatsApp via a 'flash call' instead of the usual 6-digit verification code. This will let users log in to their WhatsApp account quickly and safely.

According to Mashable, new reports state that WhatsApp is working on a new feature in the WhatsApp beta for the Android 2.21.11.7 update. This feature will be available in a future update and is currently under development.

The 'flash calls' feature, however, will not be implemented on WhatsApp for iOS as Apple does not offer any public API to read the call history. The feature will act as an alternative to the regular 6-digit code that is sent to users on their phone for verification.
