Good news for 52 lakh central government employees, central government servants (CGS), and more than 65 lakh pensioners who are awaiting a hike in their salary as now only 10 days are left after which they will be receiving the increased Dearness Allowance (DA).

Central government employees are all set to receive Dearness Allowance (DA) benefits approved under the 7th Pay Commission from July 1, 2021.

The Central government recently confirmed in the parliament about the rollout of stalled dearness allowance (DA) and dearness relief (DR) from next month, stated a Zee News report.

Are you confused about how much salary will you get from next month onwards according to 7th pay commission matrix? Let's see.

The government has already said that the stalled dearness allowance (DA) and dearness relief (DR) will be resumed from July 1. The three installments of dearness allowance for central government employees and DR for pensioners, due on January 1, 2020, July 1, 2020, and January 1, 2021, were frozen in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The employees are going to get the benefit of two years DA directly, because the dearness allowance of the central government employees had increased by 4 per cent in January 2020, then there was an increase of 3 percent in the second half i.e. in June 2020. In January 2021, the dearness allowance increased once again by 4 per cent.

That means the total has gone up to 28 percent. The DA will be increased by 11% to 28% after it will be reinstated from July 2021 onwards.

How to calculate salary after DA hike?

In the 7th Pay Commission, the salary of a central government employee consists of three components: basic salary, allowances and deductibles. At present, the minimum salary according to the pay matrix of central employees is Rs 18,000.

In this, 15 percent dearness allowance is expected to be added which means that Rs 2700 per month will be directly added to the salary and Rs 32400 will be added annually as DA.

Central government employees to get DA arrears?

the central government employees are demanding that they should also be paid arrears from January 1. But, the central government has made it clear that arrears will not be paid for DA hike that would have been come into effect a lot earlier had there been no pandemic.
