The excluded part of the new development plan is one in which the authorities have made substantial modifications to the development plan that was released by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation
Residents of Napean Sea Road were surprised to see that they cannot give suggestions and objections to the new excluded part (EP) of the development plan (2014-2034). The excluded part of the new development plan is one in which the authorities have made substantial modifications to the development plan that was released by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). The suggestions and objections were sought from the people before finalising it.
As per the notice issued by the state government, the suggestions and objections are to be given by citizens within 30 days from May 8. Citizens were told that they can given the suggestions and objections after looking at the changed plans in pink colour which will be available for public inspection at the officer of chief engineer of development plan and deputy director of town planning. However, to their surprise, there was no plan available for inspection.
"The work of making the plan is still underway. There were a lot of corrections suggested and we are working on it. We will be coming out with the plan in the next week itself," said Sanjay Darade, Chief engineer, development plan.
