MUMBAI
The loyalty program benefit can be used by commuters using the smart card and store value pass and monthly trip pass.
The Reliance Infrastructure-led Mumbai Metro One Private Limited (MMOPL) on Thursday announced a loyalty program for around 4 lakh commuters who use the Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar Metro-1 daily wherein after travelling around 100-km starting Friday, commuters will get complimentary accident insurance policy of around Rs 4.5 lakh.
The loyalty program benefit can be used by commuters using the smart card and store value pass and monthly trip pass. According to MMOPL, an enrolled commuter will earn 1 point per 10 km of travel. As a launch offer, those customers who travel 100 km (earn 10 points) since the launch of the 'Loyalty Program', will earn an accident insurance policy worth Rs 4.5 lakh and valid for one year. This offer will be valid for limited till January 26, 2019. After a one-time registration, commuters will have to quickly earn 10 points and claim the insurance policy in the introductory month.
In a statement issued on Thursday, MMOPL said, "Mumbai Metro has zeroed in on this loyalty program after a thorough study of leading loyalty programs in India and those offered by international Metros. Incorporating the best practices, Mumbai Metro has come up with tier-based Loyalty Program for its customers. Like the best of the loyalty programs, the Metro Rewards Loyalty Program will be available in three tiers namely silver member, gold member and platinum member."
Further, the earned points via loyalty program can also be redeemed against the above offerings wherein MMOPL has tie-up with more than 50 retail establishments spread over categories like restaurants, clothing, grocery, white goods/gadgets, salons, gift shops, photo studios, opticians, bakeries, etc in addition to the existing loyalty partner.
