From pulling out bodies to splashing water on the face of victims, good samaritans did everything in their hand to help victims of the tragedy that took 22 lives.

"I had just dropped my wife when I saw the chaos. It is only human to help. A lot of people are blaming the police for coming late but I think they too are humans," said Rahul Kadam, resident of Ambedkar Nagar who offered help.

S R Tripathi, who lives in railway quarters said, "I removed some bodies, splashed water on those who had fainted. Luckily some had survived. But when they started to remove dead bodies, I could not take it and left. There was a young boy and I wonder what must be happening to his father and mother," said Tripathi.

"First things some people asked was for water and I was happy to give," said Aniket Kumbhar.
