The Agripada police have arrested a fraudster for allegedly duping senior citizens at an ATM in the Agripada neighbourhood in south Mumbai. The accused would withdraw money from their account under the pretext of helping them to withdraw cash.
The accused has been identified as Sarafazaj Khan(36)
According to police, the accused would allegedly stand outside the ATM and target senior citizens who face difficulties while withdrawing cash. The accused would offer to help and see the passwords on the card, using which he would withdraw money.
The police said that around 6-7 senior citizens had complained about being duped. Following the complaints, the police checked the CCTV footage of the ATM and traced the accused red-handed.
