74-year-old killed by a speeding car

A 74-year-old woman was run over by a speeding car at BKC on Friday. The incident occurred around 6.30am when the deceased was out for her a morning walk. The BKC police have registered a case against an unidentified driver for causing death due to negligence. The police are also checking the CCTV footage located in the vicinity.

The deceased has been identified as Adikrao Patil.

"Passers by saw Patil lying on the road in a pool of blood. They informed the police control room and a patrolling van was sent," said a police officer.

Patil was taken to Bhabha Hospital where she was declared dead on arrival.

"Once we manage to find out the car's registration number, the suspect will be nabbed," added the officer.
