IT expert Niraj Kanjani’s journey of transformation from fat to fit is all the motivation you need

We often strive to live a perfect life. But what is a perfect life? To keep it simple, entrepreneur Niraj Kanjani says that maintaining a balance between personal and professional work is where one can achieve a perfect life. An IT expert and a developer, Niraj launched an app called CalcuValut that enables users to save their private data behind a calculator. Being in the field of IT, Niraj has been working on various projects for more than a year. While work from home has become a new normal in the lockdown, the work of IT experts has doubled during this time. Niraj who has been working for almost 8 to 10 hours a day manages to take out time for his health and overall wellbeing.

“Those who can’t take out time for their health are running away from good wellbeing. It is an excuse that can have a major impact in the long run”, says Niraj. With having no fixed working hours, the entrepreneur juggles between his workouts and his professional life. At one point, he weighed almost 100 kgs in 2020. Speaking about his rough phase, the entrepreneur said, “It was in 2019 I was battling some personal issues that encouraged my weight gain and increased stress and anxiety levels. At the onset of 2020, I dedicated a fixed time for workout and even followed a healthy diet.” Unfortunately, when the lockdown happened, Niraj discovered his inner-self and started with meditation and workout sessions at home.

Besides reading articles on health and fitness, the entrepreneur brought discipline into his life and went on to achieve the impossible. During the lockdown, he shed 35 kgs by following a strict workout regime and including healthy nutrition in his diet. To keep the motivational force alive within him, Niraj explained that he watched many inspirational podcasts and read different books on self-development. “I have learnt that whatever a mind of a person can conceive and believe, it can achieve. It is all about manifesting the thoughts”, he revealed. Additionally, he thanks his friend and mentor Pradeep Chauhan who always motivated him and answered his queries about health and fitness with logical reasoning. 

Being a foodie, Niraj Kanjani has successfully transformed his habit of eating junk food into eating healthy food. Furthermore, he said that it was difficult for him to give up on binge eating in the initial stages. However, the entrepreneur has gradually mastered the art and is giving some major fitness goals. Lastly, while advising about fitness, Niraj Kanjani revealed that it is all about beginning with what you have. “Start with where you are. Slow progress is better than no progress, and only consistency will help you reach your goals with time”, he concluded.
