Though a bill giving five per cent quota in government jobs and educational institutes to Gurjars was passed, community members refused to call off their fast.

Community leader Kirori Singh Bainsla said the community will wait for more clarity on the bill before calling off the stir. Agitating Gurjars continued to block the Jaipur Sawaimadhopur railway tracks. This disruption may affect movement of close to 50 trains.

The Jaipur-Mumbai superfast express, which had left Jaipur, was brought back, while two other trains — Jaipur Mysore Express and Jaipur Bandra terminus. — have been cancelled.
