The arrest of a Barmer journalist has led to an unusual boil in the politics of Barmer. Not only are the journalists of Barmer and other districts protesting this arrest, but BJP’s Sheo legislator Manvendra Singh Jasol has also come out against this arrest.

A person named Rakesh Paswan allegedly filed a libel in the SC-ST court in Patna against Durg Singh. Rakesh Paswan reportedly works at the Mayor’s residence at Patna. It has been reported that Durg Singh went to Patna to Rakesh Paswan’s house in his village on 15th April with his three companions. The complainant was reportedly addressed and abused in caste-sensitive words. In the complaint it is alleged that names of three other persons has not been given.

Barmer police questioned the journalist Durg Singh Rajpurohit. According to police sources, a case was made against the journalist by Patna police who informed the Barmer police about the alleged charges leveled against Durg Singh.
