Rajasthan's PWD Minister Yunus Khan was attacked by unknown people In Nagaur on Friday.
Known as close aide of Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, Khan escaped unhurt in the attack that took place around 11:30 pm.
Attackers threw stones at Khan's convoy that damaged his car.
Khan was in Naguar's Choti Khate to inaugurate a road leading to main Chamunda Temple. However, soon a few attackers started pelting stones on his car.
A case of damaging government property has been registered against three named and a dozen unknown attackers.
Three persons named Raju, Bhanwar Singh and Rakesh have been arrested while a dozen others have been taken in custody for questioning, police sources said.
The minister is expected to address a press conference later in the day.
Khan has been facing resentment in his constituency district over several reasons — encounter of gangster Anandpal and involvement of one of his supporters in raising pro-Pakistan slogans — being the major ones.
