UPPSC Mains 2016 result declared: 1993 candidates qualify for interview round; Check uppsc.up.nic.in

Finally, the wait is over for the UPPSC aspirants for the year 2016. After a delay of two years, the results for the PCS Mains Exams 2016 were announced on 16th November 2018. The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has released the results on the official website. The candidates who had appeared for the UPPSC  Mains 2016 can check their results on the website- uppsc.up.nic.in. 

An official notice was released on the website for the declaration of the results. The exams were conducted from 20th September 2016 till 8th October 2016. The UPPSC Mains exam was conducted various exam centres of Allahabad and Lucknow. At least 2,50,696 candidates had appeared in the preliminary stage of the exams held on March 20, 2016. The Commission had declared the result of the same on May 27, 2016, in which around 14000 were declared successful. Over 12,901 had appeared for the mains exam to fill.  

“Only 12,901 aspirants had appeared in the mains exams held from September 20 to October 10, 2016, out of which only 1993 aspirants managed to qualify for interviews," said a secretary, UPPSC, Jagdish. 

He said, “As per the state government’s reservation policy, the aspirants who have applied under ex-servicemen category would be selected under Grade C services. Apart from it, there is no provision of interviews in the service rule of district horticulture officers so their results will be taken out after the interviews of the remaining candidates." 

Here is how you can check UPPCS Mains Result 2016:

1. Visit the official website- uppsc.up.nic.in.

2. Click on the link that reads- ‘UPPCS Mains Result 2016’.

3. Enter your roll number and other details required and submit.

4. Your result will be displayed on the screen.

5. Download your result for future reference.
