Two Hizbul Mujahideen militants killed in encounter in J&K's Anantnag

Two Hizbul Mujahideen militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag on Wednesday morning.

Security forces had launched a cordon and search operation in Muniward village in the Khanabal area of the district following specific information about the presence of militants there.

An encounter erupted when the militants opened fire on the forces who retaliated

"Anantnag encounter completed, 2 bodies of terrorists along with 2 weapons recovered from the site. A clean operation with precision," said Shesh Paul VaidVerified account, Director General of Police (DGP).
