The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) on Friday re-imposed the weekend lockdown in the city to check the spread of COVID-19 cases. Except shops selling essential items, all other establishments, including eateries, malls, and salons, would remain closed on weekends.

PMC Commissioner Vikram Kumar issued an order Friday instructing the closure of all stalls and shops selling non-essential items, malls, salons, beauty parlours, spas, wellness centers, bars, and food courts on weekends. As per an order issued on June 11, eateries were allowed to operate with 50% capacity on weekdays. 

What's open, what's not

All non-essential shops will remain shut during the weekends.

Shops selling essential items would remain open till 7 PM on weekends.

There will be no dine-in facility in hotels, restaurants, and bars.

Prohibitory orders restricting the gathering of five or more people.

Restrictions in free movement of the public without valid reason after 10 pm.

Construction activities and e-commerce services will continue in a regular manner in Pune.

The export-oriented industrial units and essential goods units would operate with 50% staff.

The public places including gardens and open grounds will remain open from 5 am to 9  am and 4 pm to 7 pm daily.

Outdoor sports will be allowed throughout the day, indoor games allowed from 5 am to 9 am and 5 pm to 7 pm.

The local train service would be allowed for those working in essential services, all working women and government employees.

The public transport bus service will continue with 50% sitting capacity and no standing passengers.
