Of the 81 elected MLAs, 79 votes were polled with two votes of CPI(ML-Liberation) MLA Vinod Kumar Singh and BJP legislator Ramchandra Baitha being declared invalid.

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) candidate KD Singh and Dheeraj Prasad Sahu of Congress were elected to the two Rajya Sabha seats from Jharkhand, for which polling was held today.
Singh, the chairman of a Delhi-based hospital group, secured 32 votes, while Sahu polled 28, the requisite number of votes needed by a candidate for victory.
BJP's Ajay Maroo could garner only 17 votes and lost.
