Jammu and Kashmir: Militant surrenders with weapon during Shopian encounter

One militant was killed while another surrendered after a gunbattle between militants and security forces in Shopian district of south Kashmir.

The terrorist surrendered identified as Adil Hussain Dar. The terrorist killed is identified as Tariq Ah Bhat of Hizbul Mujahideen. 

Security forces had launched a cordon and search operation at Barbugh in Imam Sahib area of Shopian on Saturday evening after getting information about the presence of militants there.

The ultras opened fire on the search party, triggering a gunbattle in which a militant was killed.
