Hardening its stand against Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung-appointed anti corruption branch chief Mukesh Meena, the Delhi Government has sent a draft report of the charge sheet against him to Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) for a probe on his curtain purchase scam.

According to sources, chief secretary KK Sharma has sent a draft report of the charge sheet, prepared by the vigilance department of the Delhi government to the CVC.

A retired inspector with the Police Training College (PTC), Jharonda Kalan, Jawahar Lal had accused Meena of siphoning off Rs 20 lakh in purchasing curtains and rods as Principal of the college between May 11 and July 25, 2005.

During its investigation, the vigilance department found that forged bills of Rs 23 lakh were made to purchase curtains during Meena's tenure in the college, sources said.

Lal had alleged that Meena had procured curtains and rods worth Rs 20 lakh without the required sanctions.

Last week, a non-bailable warrant was issued against the ACB chief by commission of inquiry appointed by AAP government investigating multi-crore CNG fitness scam and a 30 per cent cut in his salary ordered for not responding to its summons and providing details of the case.

The Delhi High Court stayed the non-bailable warrant against Meena till September 23.
