The BJP is "extremely keen" on passing the Lokpal bill and has given a notice for the suspension of question hour, Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley said Tuesday.
"In any case...we are extremely keen that the Lokpal bill should be passed... that is why I have given a notice for the suspension of the question hour and suspend all other business as credibility of the system is at stake. So, the first thing is to pass the Lokpal bill," Arun Jaitley told reporters outside parliament.
He added: "...I am willing to speak even if I am disturbed and alternatively I am ready to pass it without discussion."
On the Samajwadi Party opposing the legislation, Jaitley said that one party cannot hold the whole system to ransom.
