Back from Turkey, TMC MPs Nusrat and Mimi take oath as Lok Sabha member

Couple of days after actress Nusrat Jahan returned from her destination wedding in Turkey,  the TMC MP from Basirhat formally took oath as Lok Sabha MP today. TMC MP Mimi Chakraborty also took oath on Tuesday. Mimi too was in Turkey to attend close friend Nusrat's wedding. 

That's the reason they had missed out on the window allotted for newly elected MPs to take oath in the 17th Lok Sabha. Both the MPs took oath in Bengali, and said, "Vande Matram, Jai Hindi and Jai Bangla"

Nusrat Jahan married Kolkata based garments businessman Nikhil Jain in picturesque Bodrum city on 19th June. The couple shared pictures on Instagram which soon went viral. Nusrat has been questioned for staying away from her constituency at a time when political violence is going on there. The actor turned politician though has claimed that everything is under control and she is in constant touch with her party members there.
